Nature at its finest

Jagged rocks, romantic mountain pastures and rare flowers make for an irresistible and special natural experience. You don’t have to be a botanist to enjoy the unique flora around Annaberg-Lungötz. Varied rock formations are home to 20 different varieties of orchids, including the rare “Kanbankraut”. The “Salzburg Dolomites” are a fantastic hiking area for all nature lovers.

For ambitious hikers, there are over 300 marked trails and climbing routes between the Tennen Mountain Range and the Dachstein massif. The leisure hiker can enjoy easy walking and nature trails as well as romantic hikes across mountain pastures.

The Forest Lake in Lungötz guarantees a dip in cool water on hot days.

Skiing and Winter-Vacation

Annaberg-Lungötz is part of the Ski Region Dachstein-West which is regarded to be one of the most family-friendly ski resorts in Austria. Straight from bed and onto the slopes. Enjoy the view of the Dachstein, the sunshine and the many happy skiers of all sizes. The ski-region boasts more than 145 km of family-friendly dream-runs for skiers of every ability and 46 ski lifts. The modern snowmaking-equipment throughout the region helps to keep the pistes on the main runs well-prepared until late spring.

Well-prepared cross-country tracks or snowshoe walks as well as horse-sleigh rides through the romantic winterwonderland or skiing under floodlight – the varied nature around the Lammertal valley – offers it all!
