The terraced open-air pool in Abtenau - if you love water combined with a little adventure, then there's nowhere better than Abtenau's open-air pool.
With a current canal, a speed water slide and a climbing net, the kids will soon have forgotten those long days of kindergarten and school!

Surrounding Lakes

Deep blue lakes, crystal water, romantic bathing spots and water sports  - the surrounding lakes within 40-50 km offer a variety of entertainment and relaxation.

Mattsee: Popular sailing and surfing spot - possibility to take a tour on lake Mattsee / Trumer Lakes onboard the wooden "Seenland". 

Wolfgangsee: Coming from Abtenau, you will reach the Region of Bad Ischl - Wolfgangsee via the panoramic Postalm Street. During summer, every Tuesday night you can take part in a musical boat trip on Lake Wolfgang.

Mondsee: Moon Lake is known as the warmest lake in the Salzkammergut. Sun-worshippers and water sport-lovers will find relaxation and entertainment at the Moon Lake.

Fuschlsee: For centuries, deep blue Fuschlsee has been a fisherman's paradise. The golfcourse offers a fantastic panoramic view over the lake.

Attersee: Due to its depth of 172m, Attersee is scuba-diving paradise. The constant wind makes sailing and surfing interesting.

Wallersee: Nice bathing spots, warm temperatures in summer and the high water quality makes the Wallersee a popular place for families. 

Hallstättersee: In between 76 Salzkammergut Lakes, the Hallstättersee is very popular for scuba-diving. The south shore offers beautiful landscapes.

Leisure-Waterworld: blue dome

In the council district Abersee,  Wolfgangsee  a leisure park has come into being under the theme „Nature and Experience“ – A theme park, with a covered roof area of 1.000 m2 and an open area of 16.000 m2.
